A morning survey at Desert National Wildlife Refuge revealed diverse desert bird activity. Highlights included observing Rock Wrens building nests and Phainopeplas feeding on desert mistletoe berries. The cool morning temperatures and clear skies provided excellent conditions for bird watching.

Today, I visited the serene Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, a sanctuary teeming with avian life amidst the desert landscape. As dawn broke, the air was filled with the melodious calls of songbirds, and I spotted several waterfowl species gliding gracefully across the shimmering ponds. The lush vegetation provided a perfect backdrop for observing the interactions of various bird species. It was an enriching experience to witness the biodiversity thriving in this oasis.
